Join the world’s largest privately-owned pet product company as our Territory Sales Representative based out of the GTA area. You'll be joining our experienced sales team in Ontario in their relentless efforts to meet or exceed sales targets. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in the marketplace, elevating Hagen’s presence, building stronger customer relationships and ensuring our products and services remain every pet's favorite and every pet owner’s must- have's for their pet care needs. The zone to cover for this role is the Greater Toronto Area/ Northern Ontario and the Niagara Region.  

This role is a 10-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

How You’ll Be Contributing: 

  • Deliver sales, profits and numerical distribution objectives. 
  • Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship based approach. 
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for the organization’s products/services. 
  • Effectively use catalogues, samples and promotional materials in sales calls. 
  • Conduct post call analysis and follow-up. 
  • Assist in-store merchandising and promotion i.e., effective positioning of Hagen products for maximum sales. 
  • Call on pet specialty stores in order to build relationships and drives sales growth. 

 

We'd Love to Hear from You if You Have: 

  • The ability to work autonomously while supporting your team's goals and objectives, understanding that as a representative of Hagen Group, professionalism must be maintained at all times. 
  • The ability to articulate the advantages of Hagen products and services and regularly conduct seminars either one on one or in groups. 
  • Excellent command of the English language. 
  • A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Experience using Salesforce (an asset). 
  • Independent account selling abilities and experience with solid results. 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills. 
  • Great organizational and time management skills. 
  • CPG or pet industry related experience. 
  • Must reside in the Niagara or GTA Region. 
  • Ability to travel frequently (by car) and stay overnight 20% of the time. 
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, collaboration and analytical skills.
