Following in their father’s footsteps, a new generation carries the family tradition into the future, as Tom and Mark join Rolf Jr. in leading the company.

Rolf Hagen Jr.

Rolf Hagen Jr. is the CEO of Hagen Group, a privately-owned global leader in pet products, founded 70 years ago by his father, Rolf C. Hagen. With a long-standing career at the company, Rolf has held various key roles, including Vice President International, where he played a key part in expanding the company’s global footprint.

Now at the helm, he oversees a multinational operation headquartered in Canada, with a presence in six countries and exports to over 50. Under his leadership, Hagen Group has remained dedicated to creating high-quality, innovative, and nutritious products for pets, fostering a legacy of trust and excellence.

Tom Hagen

As Vice President of Finance, Tom represents the second generation of leadership in the family-owned business. With decades of experience and a proven track record in financial management, Tom oversees budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, driving sustainable growth while upholding the company’s legacy of excellence in pet care.

Combining innovative financial strategies with a deep commitment to the company’s mission, Tom is passionate about animal welfare and continues to build on the family tradition of improving the lives of pets and their families.

Mark Hagen

Director of Research for Rolf C. Hagen Inc. and the Hagen Avicultural Research Institute (HARI), holds a Master of Agriculture from the University of Guelph, specializing in Psittacine Aviculture, with additional studies in avian nutrition and zoology.

In 1985, he founded HARI, establishing a globally recognized program for research on captive breeding, nutrition, and care of companion birds.

Over 37+ years, HARI has advanced studies on parrot health, breeding, and environmental factors. A prolific author and speaker, Mark has shared his expertise worldwide through papers and presentations on avian science and husbandry.
